Find the right size.
Measure the rider’s height, and inside leg if you can (floor to crotch, shoes off). Match to the table. Between sizes? Go smaller for a beginner, larger for a confident rider who’s growing.

Helmets
Helmets fit by head size, not by the size on the label. Measure around the head, a finger-width above the eyebrows and over the ears, with a soft tape, to the nearest centimetre. Find your band in the table and aim for the middle of it. A helmet that’s too small is obvious: it won’t go on. One that’s too big is floppy and can come off, which is dangerous.
| Helmet size | Head circumference |
|---|---|
| XS | 50 cm or smaller |
| S | 50–53 cm |
| M | 54–57 cm |
| L | 58–61 cm |
| XL | 62–64 cm |
Sit it level, two fingers above the eyebrows. Straps form a V under each ear. Tighten the dial at the back. The chin strap doesn’t go over the chin.
