Here’s the deal: for the morning, you and your crew are bike couriers. You get a map, a radio, a call-sign and a run sheet. There are parcels to find, jobs to deliver, a rival crew to keep up with and stripes to earn.

The neighbourhood is your patch. Pedal smart, talk straight, work as a crew. Go.

Remember roaming the streets on your bike till the lights came on? Your kids barely get the chance now. Free Range hands it back — out on their bikes, making their own calls, running a real mission — inside a patch we’ve mapped, bounded and watched the whole time. Every crew carries a radio. Two of our people run it: one on base as mission control, one out roving. Main roads are the walls, and nobody crosses them alone. It feels wild to them. It’s tight as a drum to us. Drop them off and go — this one isn’t stay-and-watch.

T H E D O C K E T

RIDERS: Ages 10–13, confident and steady on a bike

RUN TIME: 3 hours, mornings — pack a snack and a water bottle, they might want one

CREW SIZE: Small on purpose — capped at 12 riders, in crews of four

VEHICLE: Bring your own bike and helmet, or hire a bike from us for $5. Either way we check it at the gate: two working handbrakes, no exceptions. Couriers don’t ride dodgy gear.

WE SUPPLY: Radios, the map, the mission, water stops and something to show the family at the end
